Dear friend,

Our Companions Animal Rescue is a CT-based nonprofit organization that promises to always do the right thing for animals, regardless of the challenge or cost.  

What this means is, we go to extraordinary lengths to help animals in need today, while also working to prevent animals from becoming homeless tomorrow by addressing the root causes of pet homelessness.

Through our Helpline call center, the only one of its kind in Connecticut, we respond to approximately 4,000 calls a year from people seeking support, resources, and guidance for their animal related challenges and emergencies.

There are several other ways in which we fulfill our promise of doing the right thing for animals:

• First and foremost, there’s our sanctuary for homeless pets set on 43 acres in Ashford, CT.  The first of its kind in New England, with its comforting home-like environment, our sanctuary will transform the way in which animals are rehabilitated as they await their forever home. 
• There’s our family-friendly rescue and adoption programs.
  
• Our group and private dog training programs.
• Our affordable spay neuter programs for cats and feral cat colonies.
  
• our political advocacy efforts.
  
• our humane education programs.
